Warm Hugs
(an ongoing project)
Please come and join this rewarding and fun outreach program at Countryside. We make warm, fleece shawls for people in our community who need "a warm hug". We distribute them to our own friends and families who are in need and also to our community at large through nursing homes and chemotherapy treatment centers. You do not need any sewing ability, only the desire to help. You can also be involved by donating some of the items that we place in the pockets; small hand sanitizers, single serving snacks, lip balms, small tissue packs, gum and hard candy. You can drop these items in the kitchen and mark them Warm Hugs.
Contact Donna @ 587-5358 or urban01@epix.net for more information.
Our License Plates are Here!
Please pick up your Countryside Community Church license plates in the fellowship hall following church or contact Nancy Smith @ 961-8781 or email her at
embroidersmith@aol.com. The cost for each plate is $10. Proceeds will help defray the cost of the Christmas Cantata this year. Thank you!
Tote Bags for Food Pantry Mission
Families who have not picked up a green tote bag, please see an Usher or Greeter. We’ve ordered one bag per family and each one comes with a suggested list of items. We are asking that families use the reusable tote when going shopping as a reminder to support the ongoing food pantry mission project. The committee is hoping it will be a way to encourage donations to local pantries.
Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all of your might!
