Sunday School News

The Adult Sunday School will not meet during the upstairs construction period. Youth and Children’s classes will continue to meet downstairs.

Warm Hugs
Our next Warm Hugs gathering will be Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at 9:00 am. Please come and join us to see what this very rewarding outreach program is all about. We create soft, warm shawls for many of our friends, neighbors and loved ones that need to know how much we care about them. No experience is necessary. We meet from 9-11 am and it is a good time of fellowship.

Some of the beneficiaries of the Hugs are:
Childrens Advocacy Center
Ronald McDonalds House
Local volunteer ambulance services
Allied Hospice and Long term Care
Hematology and Oncology
Wesley Village
Tunkhannock Manor
Gino Merli Veterans Center
Abington Manor

They are always available in the Meeting Room for
anyone to take and give to someone to show our love!

Growing Tree Leaves
We will be engraving leaves for the Growing Tree in the lobby in recognition of anyone who has adopted our mission and contributed in any way such as time, treasure, prayers or presence. Forms are available in the Café window. (If you are nominating someone else, please check to see that their name isn’t already on the tree before submitting.)

Outdoor Cold Weather Supplies for the Homeless

Countryside’s Mission Team is asking our members and friends to consider clipping and using Harbor Freight “Free” coupons to help supply the area’s homeless with items needed to survive winter weather.  We are looking for poly tarps, moving blankets, and led lights that are
often advertised as “Free” when a purchase is made at Harbor Freight.  In addition, we are collecting “new" men’s dark colored boxer shorts and warm socks / gloves for both men and women. The items we donated last year were very much appreciated and will again be collected in boxes in the church lobby for delivery by the mission team as they come in.  Your help in securing these items and bringing them to church is vital to our efforts in helping the less fortunate.
