The Walk Worship & Bible Study Series

How do we walk with Christ—daily follow him, grow in him, and faithfully serve him?
In the Gospels, Jesus modeled for us the Christian spiritual life. The apostles taught it in their writings. And the Church has, through the last 2,000 years, sought to pursue this Christian spiritual life.

In The Walk, Adam Hamilton focuses on five essential spiritual practices that are rooted in Jesus’ own walk with God and taught throughout the New Testament. Each of these practices is intended as part of our daily walk with Christ while also being an essential part of growing together in the church.

In each chapter, Hamilton explores one of these practices, its New Testament foundation, and what it looks like to pursue this practice daily in our personal life and together in the life of the church.

Join us each Sunday (beginning February 21, 2021) as we seek to deepen our walk with Christ as we explore the five essential practices of worship, study, serving, giving, and bearing witness to our faith.

You can also join us for our video Bible study every week beginning February 23, 2021. We will meet by Zoom on Tuesdays at 7 pm.

Mission Team Update

February's basket offering will go to the Women's Resource Center. View the February Moment for Mission video here.

In January we collected $728.35 for St. Anthony’s Haven.

The Last Sunday collection for the month of March will be items for the NEPA Youth Shelter!  Their After School Drop-In Center is used for any teen looking for a safe space to do schoolwork, socialize, or just to have some fun.  They offer these young people computers and a printer for their homework, a library, and other resources that so many of us take for granted.  This group is in need of snack-type food for their teens.  Due to Covid-19, they would prefer individually-packaged items that would be easy for the teens to enjoy there or take with them.  Some suggestions are single-serve macaroni and cheese cups, cookies, fruit snacks, candy (avoid peanuts/peanut butter), cereal, tortilla chips, pudding cups, fruit cups, packets of crackers or graham crackers.  Items to be donated can be brought to the church during regular office hours.  Thank you!

The Upper Room

Copies of the March/April 2021 issue of The Upper Room daily devotional guide are now available in regular and large print and can be picked up at the church during business hours (Monday-Friday, 9am-2pm). We can also mail copies to you if needed.

Offering Envelopes

2021 Offering Envelopes are available. If you have used envelopes in the past, or you would like to begin using envelopes, please pick them up at the church during office hours (Monday-Friday 9am-2pm).

Announcement Deadline

Please submit any bulletin announcements or Prayer List updates before 12 pm on Thursday to be included in the following Sunday’s bulletin or in the 10 am video service. Please email announcements to or call the office at (570) 587-3206.

For the past several weeks the we have been experiencing issues with delays in mail delivery from the U.S. Postal Service. People have called the church office to report that checks they sent to us in the beginning of December have not not cleared their bank. A few people told us that their mail to us was returned by USPS and marked as "undeliverable."

If your check has not cleared your bank, you can call Jeff at the church office (570-587-3206) to check if it has recently been received.
